(In addition to the above, I have served as a minor member of various search committees inside and outside the dept., and as a member of the Developmental Sciences initiative. I have given talks for the College Admissions Office to transfers and their parents in 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988 and I have given guest lectures in numerous colleagues' classes -- on average three per year outside HDFS. I have also given talks to the College's Dean's Scholars, the College Advisory Board, and I have recently chaired two College ad hoc committees on tenure, and one ad hoc committee for the Johnson School of Management. (I have been asked to review eight candidates for tenure outside Cornell and three candidates for full professor.) In 1986 I was asked to write our College's report to the University on Undergraduate Teaching, which I presented at the Thornleigh retreat that same year. I chaired numerous tenure, reappointment, and promotion cases in my department (6 during the past three years). Finally, in my role on EPC and FCR, I occasionally served on its subcommittees.)
